증상
2004 지프 체로키 4.0에서 엔진오일이 크리미한 갈색으로 변함. 처음 발견 후 조치했으나 2분 주행 후 다시 같은 증상 발생. 밸브커버에서 휘파람음 발생.
처리 내용
PCV(Positive Crankcase Ventilation) 시스템 점검이 필요함. PCV 밸브가 제대로 작동하지 않으면 블록 내 압력이 증가하고 습기가 제거되지 않아 시간이 지남에 따라 오일이 크리미한 갈색으로 오염됨. 점검 항목: 1) PCV 밸브 자체 불량 여부, 2) 호스 찌그러짐 또는 막힘, 3) 다른 부분 막힘. PCV 밸브는 일반적으로 저렴하므로 교체 추천. PCV 밸브 진단: PCV 밸브의 진공 소스를 임시로 차단하고 증상이 개선되는지 확인. 휘파람음이나 으르렁거리는 소음이 PCV 시스템 불량의 징후일 수 있음.
