My mate brought a brand new Range Rover, he wanted the oil changed earlier at 8k for that reason, the main dealers charged him £500 for the privilege of trying to get his engine to last longer. It still didn t stop the transfer from stting itself though at 25k.The oil was changed in the Iveco, 18k ago, the oil life reset, it was changed again 3k ago, and it is still showing oil life at over 27k. 21k since it was reset. You can be sure that some are using that oil life as gospel .Utter madness when service intervals are 2 years or 30k but the vehicle is telling you its more. They just want them to go bang as soon as the warranty ends.
