증상
부트 카펫에 새 엔진오일 약 500ml 이하가 새어 스며들었음. 카펫이 손상될 위험 없이 오일 얼룩을 제거하고 싶음.
처리 내용
옥수수 전분(cornflour) 약 1kg을 얼룩 부위에 듬뿍 뿌리고 카펫 전체에 밀어 펴서 며칠에 걸쳐 오일을 흡수하도록 함(전분이 갈색으로 변하면서 오일을 빨아들임). 그 후 고압 분사기로 전분/오일 혼합물을 제거하고, 세제를 충분히 사용해 뻣뻣한 브러시로 카펫 표면을 철저히 문질러 세척한 뒤 고압 분사기로 다시 헹굼. 결과적으로 카펫이 원래 상태처럼 복구됨.
