And another thing... those people who drive at 25 in a 30, then 35 in a 40, and 40 or 45 in a 60 and brake on gentle corners. They should be legally mandated, if it is true, to carry a big sign in the back window saying "I'm one of those ****s who speeds up the moment you might be able to overtake. BE WARNED."And another thing. The only benefit of these uber-dawdlers is that when you get stuck behind a tractor instead of getting angry you can really sympathize that he is going as fast as he can and still not going any slower than a significant number of car drivers.

It's *far* easier to get to 10070 and then slow down to merge than it is to get to the end doing ~40 and then have to accelerate. Obviously you have to give way if need be at the end (and then accelerating from stationary to motorway speeds can be a bit hairy) but if you're doing the same speed as the traffic then its very rare that you can't just "slot in". To be fair, the bloke with doing 20 on the slip road could be someone on this thread trying to anticipate what speed the inside lane is likely to be doing. Then they're a fktard. Accelerate to 70 as early as possible and then evaluate. If the traffic is doing 20 then it is trivial to *pick* your merge spot in advance and slow into it. Not using the entire slip road is one that gets me. The number of people that stop to join the motorway as soon as the hatched section ends is ridiculous when they could keep moving and use the next few hundred yards to merge while still moving. Their idiocy clogs up not only the slip road but the lane on the road they are joining......

What I don't miss from those days however, was how much the interior of a BMW advertised the boxes you didn't tick as much as

As an ex-2CV owner, I like the exterior, interior less so, too Early Learning Centre for me. This wouldn't get a push-pull manual gearbox or umbrella-style handbrake, but the seats could be done better (including fabric):

To my eyes, that design screams “make me in a shooting brake version!”
