증상
BMW '90 E30 320i Cabrio, M20 6기통 엔진. 주행 중 계기판의 빨간색 엔진오일 경고등이 점등되지만 엔진음과 작동은 정상. 엔진을 끄고 재시동하면 꺼졌다가 주행 중 다시 점등됨. 더운 날씨에 더 자주 발생하는 것으로 보임. 6주 전 오일 교환했으나 어떤 점도의 오일을 넣었는지 확실하지 않음.
처리 내용
경고등은 오일 압력 부족 경고등이므로 반드시 원인을 파악해야 함. 특히 아이들 이외의 엔진 회전수에서 점등되면 더 주의 필요. 오일 교환 직후 문제가 시작되었다면 원인의 가능성(높은 순서대로): 1) 오일 점도 - 정비소에서 저가의 5W30을 사용했을 가능성. M20 엔진에는 최소 10W40, 더운 지역에서는 더 높은 점도 필요. 권장 사항은 20W50. 5W30을 넣었다면 경고등 점등 가능. 2) 저품질 오일 필터 또는 필터 미교환 - 오일 압력 저하를 초래할 수 있음. 3) 오일 센서 불량 - 높은 온도에서 오작동 가능.
