My cousin has one of these (and VVC version) as a cheap track day car (SORN'd & trailered (no tax of insurance)cheap to buy, easy on consumables) and he offered me the chance to have a go and as it was local and free it seemed stupid not toI had low expectations of the car but actually it was a lot of fun; nice handling if a smidge understeery in the dry and the VVC engine has a strong torque curve and rev's to 7000 so all in all in the dry a fun little car. When we had a shower I spun it with lift off oversteer but how much of that was the chassis and how much the relatively old, cheap tyres I am not sure. Suffice to say when it went it was gone fast and I am used to catching slides in wet (racing karts on slicks in the wet) but it was gone too fast for me and we tank-slapped a couple of times before gently spinning out. No harm done ! Overall I was left with a really positive impression of the car to drive as a bit of cheap funThe downside which I personally couldnt live with it that it does seem to break down a lot (during track days) from what my cousin tells me with it taking "an early bath" at least twice (alternator failure one time and I think an overheating problem (electric fan possibly) the other) Not the end of the world as it is trailered there and back but I prefer a track car which is more reliable personally - but then it costs a lot more Overall - a pretty good car to drive but it's reliability isn't great (at least when thrashed on track)
