Literally nothing bongs except seatbelts here in the US. Who is “in favor” of this in the UK? Can you not pressure local MPs to take a position?

From deciding when you can have the power that you paid for and how much of it, to deciding that you must be coming to a halt when the speed drops below 8mph, or absolutely knowing what gear you obviously want when it can't see the corner ahead or know what you're about to do, to just applying the power after the apex and after the throttle has been pressed. If you don't happen to align with BMW rules and regs then you can easily imagine just how frustrating a dumb car is when it refuses to not recognise that it's dumb. And stick the thing in manual? What fking gear are you in? You can't hear the engine revs and the screen repeater can't be enlarged onto one of the main displays. Sport, that'll get you your proper throttle response and do away with the stty constant rpm crap that if you wanted you'd have bought a sodding diesel. But no, that just gives you stty and silly changes when driving normally. A 540 that devoutly believed if you'd been travelling at 20 mph for a few miles you couldn't possibly have meant to bury the throttle. Herman never once considered a reality
