Surprised no one mentioned the humble MX5 - easy to look after, and a pure driving car that you can chuck about on the limits, and if you wanted, supercharge up to make it in to a pocket missile.I had a 1996 Celica GT4 ST205 and honestly its the one car of all I've owned I wish I never sold, so much character, engine bay looked amazing, very unique look. And that rear wing!MX5 is always in with a shout but I would question whether the NB/NC were the greatest MX5s. NA or ND2 for me, so fall outside the 2000s timeline.
