People who are very wealthy don’t really care what anyone else thinks. Why would they? Many serious multimillionaires I know will drive old cars because they like them, have nothing to prove, and are focused on other things. Like making more money. Other multimillionaires I know - who like cars a lot - will drive and buy what they want. Not to show off. They want, and enjoy, the fruits of their labour. I’ve got a client with a Theon 911 on order. They know what it is. Most won’t. They don’t care. Aspiring multi-millionaires (a million isn’t enough these days!) may well want to show off. They are on the up. They want to demonstrate their growing wealth; their sense of having made it (or about to make it). The Lambo Urus on monthlies, the blinged Huracan, and so on. It’s the obvious stuff. The Rolex Submariner or GMT. Not the AP or the JLC or A Lange Söhne: something obvious. Ditto Screaming Eagle, Petrus or Rousseau wine rather than Soldera, Vega Sicilia or Rayas. I accept that I’m painting stereotypes with a broad brush. I hope that my point is made. People who will buy this will buy it for themselves - particularly with one seat. They really don’t care what anyone else thinks. It’s their money and their passion. I’m delighted this exists. I’d get one with 2 seats to share the experience but that’s just me. 20kg be damned (plus the person’s weight)!

A few years ago I saw Porsche 992 racers on 18", which looked ridiculous. So I asked why?Because they drive so much better on 18" sir.OK, I'll have a JAS Tensei NSX on 18" please...
