Every day a journey said: I don't want to understand their range. I understand cars and have always loved decent ones.I could not tell the difference between 80% of McLarens as they bore me to tears. The Speedtail was an interesting oddity. That's about it.You ought to try and get a drive or fast passenger ride in one, then you'd understand. Like a grown up Elise with power.

200Plus Club said: 100% , one is a carbon bodied supercar with gullwing doors , the other will look like any of the thousands of other 911 out there at that price point. This ^ Serial Porsche 911 owner here (albeit, I went from 964 as far as 997, and then went back to the older stuff again)Someone recently posted a picture of their new 992 Turbo on PH (in what can only be described as a Marmite hue)I was struck by two things : How big, bloated and dull it looked, but also how downright ugly it was. A couple of days later I had the misfortune to see the same model car on the road, and far from thinking how much better it looked in the flesh (in white) I just thought how hideous the modern 911 Turbo now looks.I'd take the McLaren every time over a modern 911, because, to use a profane statement :"Why is a 911 like a cli***is ? Because every c****'s got one"So, carbon tubbed, mid-engined, British-built supercar, built in tiny numbers (compared with those Porsche produce annually) or another fat, ugly bloated 911 ?I'd chance my arm with the 540C and leave the servicing and maintenance to Thorney Motorsport.
