Marine Boy,Thanks for the comments (as always). Not sure if the name will ring a bell but I spoke with Dave Owen (aka Squire) last Friday. Interesting how you can be talking about a subject online and then out the blue one of those people just reaches out to say hello....funny old world at times.Flemke,I should have been more specific when I said miles don't matter. What I meant was miles don't matter from an insurance write off POV, in say how it did with my 2002 Volvo (Rear ended whilst parked...thank you Florida man). After all 061 lived again and I think at the time it had the second highest milage of any F1(?). I think your comment was directed towards resale? The point Id arrived at in my head was if I was an F1 owner I wouldn't not driving my F1 out of fear of an (non fire) accident as none would result in an insurance write off. So if I had the funds to be an F1 owner, and the insurance killing the car isn't the concern, why not drive it? This led me to three thoughts. 1) There is something unusual about the insurance itself (doesn't sound like it was for you). 2) Owners now are not Petrol heads in the way most people are on here and instead buying it solely as an appreciating asset. 3) Millage does effect the resale to an amount that would bother someone still wealthy enough to own an F1 in 2026.Money is always going to be a sensitive subject but for me this one is interesting. I mean if you say you lost 50% on an ave fun car because your used it and enjoyed it as apposed to only 30% for few miles that might be an amount that makes a real world change to that persons life. Maybe its the difference between that person being able to put a deposit on a home or send their child to Uni or perhaps retire at an age they want too. So I can see why a person who can just afford a fun car might chose not to drive it as much. Where as someone with the funds to own an F1, Does the loss equate to the same change in life? Sure the total amount is far greater but does it

A few years ago I saw Porsche 992 racers on 18", which looked ridiculous. So I asked why?Because they drive so much better on 18" sir.OK, I'll have a JAS Tensei NSX on 18" please...
