You neglect to mention any of the cons; frequency and cost of servicing -brakes, oil changes, oil & air filter changes, cambelts/chains, cost of fuel, the necessity to go somewhere to refuel etc. So yeah, admitting ignorance and then stating a one sided argument. It may be honest but is that not bias? However, as all the pro-EV people have owned (or own), some or many ICE vehicles, we get what there is to like about ICE, so your omission is not a problem. Owning both I can say that your assumption that all a BEV has to offer is potentially lower operating costs is myopic. You have no idea about what you may like about EVs. You may for example love the convenience of long service intervals, or the massive torque that a BEV can offer. You may love the `planted' feel of the very low centre of gravity. Or maybe the instantaneous response to any pedal movement, up or down: One pedal driving with strong regeneration braking coupled with the zero lag associated with hard wiring the pedal to the motive source (no auto and no waiting for peak torque). This provides very rapid and very precise throttle modulation. I like that they are near silent if you leave the house at 4am. Also hooning around is anonymous. I like that if I use aggressive regen braking I can boot it everywhere with minimal impact to fuel usage; I am not turning all that momentum into heat at every corner. So sure they can be cheap to run and it's very convenient to walk into the garage and find a car with a full tank every morning but a decently powerful EV is not a one trick pony regardless of whether you dismiss your emissions.

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
