증상
20,000마일 주행한 혼다 시빅의 후륜 로터 하나에 "계단 모양" 홈이 있음. 다른 로터들은 고르게 마모되고 반짝이며 패드 상태도 좋음. 주행 중 이상음(그라인딩, 스퀼링) 없음. 진동도 없음. 1년 전 사진에도 유사한 마크가 보임.
처리 내용
설명하신 "계단 모양" 홈은 로터의 사용 가능한 부분이 남은 전부입니다. 나머지 표면은 녹이 슬어 있어 제동에 사용되지 않습니다. 초기에 로터에 형성된 작은 녹 부분이 브레이크 패드에 연마제 역할을 하여 패드에 대응하는 홈이 생겼고, 해당 위치에서 패드가 더 이상 로터에 닿지 않게 됩니다. 패드에 의해 더 이상 벗겨지지 않는 로터 부분에 녹이 천천히 확산되면서 패드에 더 깊은 홈을 만듭니다. 이 과정이 반복되어 사진의 상태에 이르게 됩니다. 액슬 양쪽의 로터와 패드를 모두 교체하여 균등한 제동을 보장해야 합니다. 패드 두께가 충분하더라도 구형 패드를 신형 로터에 재사용하지 마십시오. 패드의 미세한 홈이라도 새 로터에 즉시 녹이 형성되게 합니다.

2019 Dodge Ram 5.7L HEMI, 100km 미만. 브레이크 작업 후 시운전 중 풀 스로틀로 0-70mph까지 한 번 가속 후 발생. 엔진 미스파이어 시작, 체크 엔진 라이트 깜박임. 리듬컬한 탭탭탭 소리 발생(collapsed lifter 유사음). 2/3 스로틀 이상에서만 발생, 정상 주행 시에는 미스만 있고 해머링음 없음.

I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.
