Where's all the data going from the (many) cameras on these vehicles?https://www.aei.org/research-products/report/conne...I understand the value proposition, but I can't help feel uneasy about the number of these things on our roads now.
2xChevrons said: LRDefender said: Surely more competition is exactly what the British consumer wants and needs. Why should hard working British families be denied choice and more budget friendly products. Not everyone wants or can pay £70k and more for their car.Remember folks, we are mainly a centre right, capitalist society that welcomes innovation and competition. Surely we don't think of ourselves as a protectionist lefty cooperative.Does that 'centre right capitalist' ethos extend to buying products made in a socialist market economy run by a Communist party leading (in its own words) a people's dictatorship and built on wages, conditions and rights that the West cannot viably match, dripping with a loose regard for intellectual property and priced using state subsidies to flood markets? In the name of 'competiton'?Competition is admirable if you're all playing the same game. It's not even about following the rules or a level playing field - China is literally playing a different game. They're not in the business of free enterprise and healthy competition. They are in the business of building themselves into a dominant superpower using "socialism with Chinese characteristics". This isn't like Honda driving Norton and BSA into the dirt by making vastly superior products in an open market. Or Datsun and Toyota (or Fiat or VW...) luring more and more people out of Austins and Hillmans (despite protectionist attempts). If the BYDs, iCaurs, Jaecoos etc. are allowed to drive the Western industry out of business in the name of 'capitalist' competition by offering better products at lower prices, then this is fundamentally an admission that market socialism, and a people's dictatorship through one-party rule is an unbeatable system. If that's the case we might as well kiss our Western values and liberties goodbye right now and join the CPGB.Edited by 2xChevrons on Thursday 15th October 11:34 This is the simple but depressing truth...

MayI remind everyone that VW is shedding 100,000 jobs and this does not include subsidiaries.

Yes please as I've posted many times before. It'll be interesting to see how far the personalisation can go. I wonder if that will include quad motor?
