Perhaps they felt they were sold a pup and didn't want to be left carrying the can. I agree on the PR front though - did the original winner make a fuss as I'd have thought if they threatened a few reviews and photos posted on Trustpilot, Google etc that they would've been able to get some sort of better outcome?I've entered a few competitons for classic LR Defenders on various sites and they always look great in the photos and videos but I'm under no illusion that in the cold light of day there will be maintenance jobs to deal with - hopefully not the level of rust shown above...Appreciate all the comments. To be honest I don't know what Redline did or didn't know, so probably not apt to speculate too much on that. I can only go off what they said to me which was I didn't win it, they can't account for how the winner stored it and it had a MOT...I bought it at auction in the Isle of Man, which unfortunately made any comeback against the auction house or seller (the chap who won it) pretty difficult. Likewise, I had no direct contact with the chap I bought the car from, so couldn't seek his help in discussing it with Redline.Also to be clear, I didn't expect a perfect car and equally even after seeing the true condition I don't believe Redline would have any obligation on their part, but had hoped they might offer a little goodwill given just how bad the car turned out and the positive PR that could have come from helping get it addressed as one that got through the net as it were. Had contemplated putting a review up for Redline but was a little torn on if to do so. Still enter the odd competition with Redline too but would be very hesitant to spend any real money on a classic with them...It's being restored properly now though an
