uktrailmonster said: Yep, more choice is great. I ve travelled across France in a Model Y and was very easy with the Supercharger network. I had a range of about 250 miles at 80 mph and so stopping every 175 miles or so to top up. So just over 2 hours between stops without traffic and there was almost none. That sounds like a reasonable solution but for me it wouldn't work. I am driving to Innsbruck this summer for a MTB trip. I'll take the 118i rather than the M2 mostly because of range. I just like the idea of being able to do around 600km or 4 hours+ without stopping. I might stop m

At least 2 will be "hidden" below zero. Few will want to go to zero. Therefore the practical range will be about 23kWh. In the winter, at speed I bet 3.5kWh will be a decent result. That'll give you 80 or so miles.I'm a big EV fan and they work for me but it's also fair to admit they still have compromises and this car doesn't move the EV side of things on much from a 12 year old Leaf.Your leaf battery is famous for the battery degredation and now old tech. My polestar, like so many newer EVs, has much less battery degredation and a few kWh 'hidden' from day 1, therefore getting full battery capacity as stated. My 3 year old /42k miles Polestar has lost 3% of battery. Plus battery tech moves on in terms of efficiency in the cold. But again, the average driver in the UK does 19 miles a day. Removing drivers like me trundling up and down motorways, that means the many a UK city dwelling driver is doing under 10 miles a day. Even in the depths of winter that's a once a week recharge. So yeah, even though it's a small battery and will decrease with weather, it's a well judged capacity for most owners who this car is aimed at.

Massive bill for a simple fix. It got me think back to my dads mk3 mondeo which was meant to be a bumper off job to swap a headlight bulb. I think the 2nd gen Renault Megane was the same. What else is there out there that requires a degree in engineering, a 4 poster lift and a snap on lorry full of tools to change a fuse or something equally as easy?

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
