VW Golf 4가 주차 중 엔진이 켜져 있고 에어컨이 고속으로 작동 중이었으나 차 내부에는 아무도 없었음. 키가 삽입되어 있는지 확인할 수 없었음. 차량이 도난되지 않으려면 키가 삽입되어 있어야 할 것 같은데, 키 없이 엔진을 계속 구동할 수 있도록 개조된 차량일 가능성이 있는지 확인하고 싶음.
처리 내용
추운 지역에서는 원격 엔진 시동(리모트 스타터) 개조가 일반적이며, 더운 날씨에서 에어컨을 미리 냉각하는 데도 사용될 수 있음. 두 개의 키 세트가 있으면 한 키는 차량 내부에 남겨두고 다른 키로 도어를 잠글 수 있음. 다만 영국에서는 무인 상태로 공도에 주차된 차량의 엔진을 켜두는 것이 불법이며, 작업 중이 아닌 경우 장시간 엔진을 유지하는 것도 불법임. 대기 오염, 소음 이외에도 정차된 차량의 엔진 구동 중 화재 발생, 하부 부품 손상, 긴급 상황에서의 사고 유발 등의 위험이 있음.

As title, I've recently acquired a Mk2 Golf GTI 16v project. Car is a Jade Green late model small bumper 16v. I haven't got the original engine but the project came with a choice of two. I've got a 9A 2.0 16v engine from a Corrado and an ABF 2.0 16v engine from a Mk3 Golf. I'm pretty certain I'm going with the ABF engine but that decision is a long way off. Before then the car will need inner and outer sills, floor pans, inner and outer wings, front and rear valances plus all the usual bodywork repairs.
