증상
2년 전에 냉각수 보조탱크에 심한 균열이 있어서 냉각수가 새었고 교체했는데, 2년 만에 다시 균열이 생겼다. 이전처럼 심하지는 않고 아직 새지는 않지만, 균열이 냉각수 수위보다 위에 있어서 에어압이 빠질 수 있을 것 같다. 냉각 시스템의 압력이 정말 중요한지, 무시하면 엔진이 과열될 수 있는지 궁금하다.
처리 내용
교체하는 것이 안전하다. 자동차와 오토바이 모두 엔진 수명을 위해 가장 중요한 것은 오일과 냉각 시스템이다. 냉각 시스템의 압력은 매우 중요하다. 엔진의 열로 냉각수가 팽창하면서 라디에이터 캡에 압력이 쌓인다. 시스템에 균열이 있으면 냐각수가 그 균열 높이까지 올라가서 결국 새게 된다. 균열이 냉각수 수위 위에 있더라도 엔진이 데워지면서 냉각수가 팽창하여 균열 부분에 도달한다. 또한 보조탱크가 갈라지고 있다면 라디에이터 캡의 압력이 올바른지 확인해야 한다. 냉각수는 캡 맨 위까지 채우면 안 되고, 냉각수 팽창을 위한 여유 공간을 남겨둬야 한다. 무시하면 엔진이 과열될 것이다.

I bought one of these 3 years ago for £21k it had 19k miles on it and all factory options ticked aside from heated steering wheel and colour changing interior lights.For the money I could have bought a semi ropey 90k+ miles German saloon of similar spec and power and would have spend money fixing the higher mileage problems that they would have come with.As it stands, coming up to 37k miles I've paid for new tyres, brakes and a coolant bottle because it had a hairline crack the MOT history is and always has been a clear pass, not a single advisory and I get to hear a supercharged V6 every time
