Well not too much woe at all.Overall a great success for the service and few other little bits. Started off with changing the idler tensioner. Only 3 bolts and only one of those was a bit of a faff due to the position next to the chassis legEasier access from below the leg for all 3 boltsThe ratchet spanner was good but this little thingy was perfect to fit in the tight ish spaceSo out with the old and in with the new one. Interesting to see that the old and new are more or less identical. Looks OE just with the part number ground off much like my rear tuning fork arms on my first BoxsterWhom ever had put the locking pin in the new tensioner had put it in 'wrong' with the long end facing out which meant it wouldn't fit between the block rail so popped it in my very meagre Record vice and swapped the orientation to allow fitting and pin swapped for a 4mm Allen keySo with that all fitted I popped the new belt on (after thinking it looked a little longer than the one that had just come off) and confirmed that it was actually too long. Not sure how but the old belt is in good enough condition to use for now until I can get the correct replacement. Onto the service then which went without a hitch. made sure I could crack off the oil filter housing then dropped the old oil out, very old oil by the looks. Be very wary of the seller that says "yea I serviced it regularly myself mate" There were some heavy deposits in the filter, nothing shiny though that I could see. Gave it a little push and it instantly disintegrated, very brittleSo with the oil changed I swapped the plugs out, blew the spark plug tubes out before removing, the old plugs looked about the right biscuit brown hue so it's running reasonably wellWhilst I was working a few more parts turned up, new rear callipers and rear pads in there AutoDoc boxes I also received my PSB front lower control arms bushes and a mystery performance mod that I have not yet eluded to. And voilà, a warm air intake suddenly appearsI
