In short, yes. The width is the main issue, as roads/parking spaces/garages haven't got any wider in the last 50 years but cars have exponentially. I have two "small" modern cars and even those are a tight fit in most parking spaces. How you park a modern Range Rover/S-Class in an average parking space and actually have room to get out is beyond me!The problem is that this hasn't necessarily translated to more passenger space. After a few years in Subaru’s interspersed with a bmw and a honda Ive scratched an itch thats been with me for 20 years.I was 16 playing 5 a side and another player arrived in his white RX7. I’ve lusted after one ever since. I’ve never been brave enough and never really had the opportunity to own one until now. 18-24 was too expensive on running costs and insurance as I was doing 70 miles a day commute. 24- present day Ive been in company cars and the missus has used whatever the second car is as her daily. Hence the hot hatches and imprezas. Mode of transport for her. Fun weekend car for me.

I’ve always wanted an RB5 for as long as I can remember, from reading about it back in one of the first publications of evo magazine and seeing their photos of T47 JOP. It’s a car that’s always been on my radar but there was always another car that seemed to pick it to the post when it got to the final two.With them seemingly becoming a car that there’s only ever a very small sample to purchase from, for some unknown reason I thought now’s the time to buy one. What an odd thread! On topic, I popped into my local Volvo dealer yesterday to enquire about delivery of the new EX60, well into next year was the reply with an order book that is groaning. I thought we might get into one before Xmas but there’s no chance.

I get frustrated driving anywhere these days but have recently passed my motorbike test and it's brilliant being on the bike. Slow drivers are over taken easier, I filter through traffic nicely and save time on every journey (even with the extra faff of getting ready).
