TRANSMISSION: WHEN ACCELERATING HARD, SUCH AS ON AN ON RAMP, MY SPEED ONLY INCREASES SLIGHTLY WHILE THE ENGINE REVS TO 5000+ RPMS. I LET OFF THE GAS & THEN IT SHIFTS AND SPEEDS UP. I have a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country with 76K miles. The transmission works properly most of the time. No problems shifting through the gears. Usually OK from stationary into reverse or forwrd gears. Except, occasionally, there is a jarring clunk into first gear. After the jolt, everything is OK. I haven’t been able to determine any pattern to when it occurs-it seems pretty random. Of course, I can’t check the transmission fluid as there is no dipstick and access under the vehicle is limited. Has anyone had a similar issue or have an idea of how big of a problem this might become?

I JUST BOUGHT MY CAR AND THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AND IS REALLY BAD. DEALER SAID HE'S AWARE BUY TOYOTA ISNT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND IT PASSES THE SOFTWARE TESTS. When vehicle is stopped from slow speeds, the car lurches to a stop because the brakes grab much harder than the pressure being applied to the brake pedal would indicate. These touchy brakes can alarm passengers in the vehicle and pedestrians near the vehicle causing them to be frightened that the vehicle hit something. Toyota developed a fix for this problem which is described by T-SB-0033-20 but the fix was not published until 4/8/20 (less than 6 months before my 36 month warranty expired) and was only applicable to vehicles in warranty so when I discovered the fix, my car was out of warrant

HESITATION AND MAJOR JERK WHEN ACCELERATING AT LOW MPH FROM A ROLLING STOP. TSB #T-SB-0152-19_REV SHOULD BE APPLIED TO PRACTICALLY EVERY CAMRY FROM 2018 & 2019. MY WIFE'S 2018 CAMRY ROLLED AWAY DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY WHILE THE SHIFTER WAS IN PARK. IT'S GOT 33K MILES ON IT. I purchased a brand new 2018 toyota camry le with nothing but problems from the beginning. The brakes have been bad from day 1. The make noise when braking and they supposedly fixed it. Replaced brakes in June on the 19th, 23rd and my brakes are squeaking and goes all the way to the floor sometimes before my brakes actually works. I have take my car back to Toyota twice and they said nothing is wrong with my car. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed so it can be fixed IMMEDIATELY!!!

On [XXX] my daughter brought her 2018 Toyota Camry with 62k miles into Mike Calvert Toyota of Houston Texas for brake noise. The car hesitates while driving different speeds and kicks in almost like the transmission is slipping I have taken it in to the local dealership and they continue to tell me that everything is fine, they have done what they call a software update stating that it should fix it but it has not, there are no open recalls for the vin number but its an on going issue.

Vehicle hesitates/jerks at low speeds, rolling stop (low mph) when initially pressing accelerator will jerk/hesitate/take a breath before dropping into gear. This is a KNOWN issue that Toyota has thus far selectively chosen which engine codes they will repair. It is clear, on this website alone, that this issue is universal. Technical Service Bulletin T-SB-0152-19 REV1 should be available to all Toyota Camry owners immediately. This needs to be recalled.

The transmission shutters very badly which makes it difficult to merge onto the freeway. It will clunk into drive at times. It also makes a whining noise when speeding up before shifting. I have a 2021 Camry as well and it is much much smoother and has none of the same problems like my 18

A few weeks ago while idling in traffic my car starts lurching forward on it’s own, RPMs jumping considerably while my foot is all the way on the brake. The car didn’t legitimately move forward, but was trying to, and would’ve if I wasn’t already braking. Pretty freaky thing to have happen when you’re in bumper to bumper traffic. I took it in to a vw dealership thinking it was a vacuum leak, they checked it out thoroughly, drove it a bunch, hooked it up to the computer, looked for error codes, the whole shebang.
