Hi all.I used to work as an IT contractor for JLR, which was my first real exposure to how OEMs work.That being said, I regret not being able to use my time more wisely there, in terms of learning more about how OEMs operate.I have a few questions if anyone wouldn't mind answering some of them: How many dealerships are still OEM-owned versus franchised? https://www.am-online.com/AM100/ gives me the largest franchised dealer groups, but how many can sell D2C? Reading https://www.bcg.com/publications/2023/shifting-to-... suggests that, in the age of online, it is only the MSRP that matters now.

A week ago I wasn't looking for a new car!This one came about after needing to borrow a horse trailer last weekend as my wife hadn't renewed the insurance on the lorry (a '95 iveco 7.5t so a bit of an old sl*g) and I bet her she'd wish she had a trailer again.. I won the bet! But as there's now three jockeys in the household we "need" a huge trailer! Our faithful old gen3 CRV wouldn't be up to this and it was beginning to look and feel a bit tired even though rightly or wrongly I love the old bus! I started looking at pickup trucks but they're ultimately really compromised for most jobs other

60,000km 점검 시 타이어 트레드 깊이 측정 결과 앞바퀴 5/32인치, 뒷바퀴 4/32인치. 정비사가 타이어 교체를 권장했으나, 고객은 2/32인치에서 교체하면 된다고 알고 있어 거절함. 페니 테스트로 링컨 머리가 여전히 보이는 상태. 여름이 다가와서 빗길 주행이 크게 걱정되지 않음. 온라인 검색 결과 3/32~4/32인치에서 교체 검토, 2/32인치에서 필수 교체라는 정보 발견(타이어 제조사 출처).

Smart fortwo 클러치 액추에이터 모터의 인코더(Component C) 고장. 모터와 기계식 암(mechanical arm)은 정상이지만 인코더 부품에 문제 있음. 여러 액추에이터가 작동 불가 상태.

2013 렉서스 구입 검토 중 좌측 프론트 스트럿에서 오일 누유 발견, 우측은 정상. 딜러로부터 2가지 옵션 제시받음: 1) 유사한 연식/모델/주행거리의 다른 렉서스에서 중고 스트럿을 구해 무료 교체, 2) 신품 스트럿 2개를 구매해 비용 분담하여 교체. 스트럿은 쌍으로 교체하는 것이 권장되지만, 매우 유사한 사용 이력의 중고 스트럿 1개만 교체할 경우의 위험성 문의.

Great thread! I love my 130i - it's a great on road package.I got a thinner BMW steering wheel which improved feel by a fair bit. Picked up a set of 17" Style 304s as I find the ride a bit tough at town speeds. Will be fitting some new tyres next week - more Assymetric 6s Next job will be the sound and a remap as mine is completely standard in that respect.It is a do-it-all car. Tracks, skidpans, road trips, school runs etc. It laps it all up and given it's an old BMW, no one pays it any attention whatsoever. 2013 코롤라 - 고속도로에서 45분 주행 후 확인. 엔진 시동 상태로 P(주차)에서 측정. 깨끗한 천으로 디스틱을 닦은 후 삽입하여 확인. 액체가 여러 곳에서 투명해서 트랜스미션 오일 레벨을 정확히 판단하기 어려움.

페니 테스트로 타이어 트레드 깊이 확인 중 - 3개 타이어는 페니가 트레드에 서지 않을 정도로 홈이 깊음, 1개 타이어(신품)는 페니가 일부 들어감. 연 13,000~15,000마일 주행. 2012년 12월 렌터카 회사 소유 차량을 구입했으며 딜러가 신품 타이어 장착했다고 함.

2018 캠리 SE의 타이어에서 범프(돌출부) 발견. 약 11개월 사용 중. 연석 손상이나 포트홀에서 비롯된 것으로 추정. 해당 타이어의 공기압이 다른 타이어보다 1~2psi 높음.

브레이크가 완전히 작동하지 않음. 수리 비용을 감당할 수 없어 향후 몇 주간 운전을 계속해야 함.
