Problem began when I would sometimes have to press the push start button several times to get it to start (no crank), progressively got worse until it wouldn’t start. When I would jump it it wouldn’t start right away but eventually it would. Replaced (5 year old) battery), initially still wouldn’t start until jumped. My 2007 Toyota Camry has a 2.4l engine 4 cylinders and it’s at about 197,000 miles. I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out while the engine is vibrating horribly when at a red light and it’s a lot worse with the ac on. I’ve changed motor mounts, checked evap purge valve, cleaned maf sensor, cleaned throttle body, bought an aftermarket pcv valve from advanced auto parts, I even bought a smoke machine from Amazon and smoke tested the evap system and found a easy leak after the maf senso rand sealed it but that didn’t do much. If I open the driver side door on my F-150 while the motor is running the transmission locks in gear and will not let me put it onto park which would allow me to crank it. I can disconnect the battery cables and it will eventually put itself into park and I can crank it. This has been going on for several months. When it first started it would reset in 30 mins or so but now is taking overnight. I’ve not tried it to see if this happens with any other doors bc I don’t want to intentionally make it happen. A 2000 town car limo was build just in tolerance for the 4.6 engine capability. Even at brand new it would overheat if you push it to hard. It is older and less efficient and it over heat in general if you push it. The question would apply to other engines: Can I move the heater cores meant for warming the vehicle to the front of the car to adding extra cooling power for the engine?

2000 Pontiac Montana Van- intake manifold has been replaced along with radiator, water pump, radiator cap and thermostat. When driving van will go to the red line but has never overheated with steam and such coming out of engine. It doesn't show signs of blown head gasket. Radiator and over flow are still full. Service engine light has been on since intake manifold repair. Air has been bled out of system quite a few times. Any help would be appreciated.

Upon leaving my home the “check engine” light turned on suddenly after only less than 2 minutes of driving . The “ICS malfunction” light also turned on. The car pulled and stalled when pushing the gas and velocity stalled. Engine light turned said something similar to “engine overheating park in a safe place” . Not sure exact words. I paid off my var in June. By the ed of august my cars engine started going bad out of no where. started with oil and coolant mixing into the engine and then transmission started whining. TRIED STARTING VEHICLE IN THE MORNING, TEMP WAS ABOUT 70 DEGREES, CAR HAS THE PUSH TO START BUTTON. BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH AN AFTERMARKET YELLOW TOP DEEP CYCLE BATTERY ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START, CAR ACTED AS IF THE BATTERY WAS VERY LOW IT TURNED OVER, DASH WENT BLACK FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND CAR STARTED VERY FORCEFULLY. Hi, I have a 2010 Mazda 6 car. I received a letter for airbag recall. When I dropped my car for service they said it would 1 hr to fix the airbag. Later they called me and said the parts are not available and it would take another 1 month for the parts to arrive. The provided me with an alternative car. They parked my car in an open parking space. When I called after 1 month, they said its an early stage for the recall. They are not sure when the parts will come. At various time the car won’t start. You can hear the starter gear engage but almost instantly disengage. Starter and battery have been replace along with tipem board. The car has been towed 6 times because it won’t start for my wife only to start upon arrival at the repair shop. If you put the ignition in the start position and place the transmission in reverse or neutral, then turn the ignition off and then put the transmission back in park it will start up. Hi I have trouble with diagnosing no comm between modules. The relays is clicking when I open or clôose door or when ignition is on. The network shows intermittent short (can low to can high and also to ground but only to ground pins on DLC not on physical metal.) When measured disconnected PCM the short was on PCM but also on BCM so when disconnected both of them the network was finally not shorted. I think something between these modules is shorted and making both of them go crazy. Both of them were replaced, checked the grounds… Any of you have some tips which I should do next? thanks topol

Hi Im working on ford mondeo mk4 and so far discovered that there are multiple communication faults. Checked the resistance, voltage… On osciloscope can high and can low are good but occasionally the network spikes and also the relay of glowplugs starts clicking for few seconds. This happens at random time but also when i open/close doors. When i turn the ignition on the relay is also clicking and also i can hear air intake actuator goes on and off. Hi, my ford is doing weird things and PCM or ecm is not communicating properly(when i connect to ecm after few seconds i have to reconnect). At random times relay in engine bay relay of glowplugs starts to click for few seconds and stops. This also occurs when i open or close front doors. When i turn igniton on this relays starts to click always and also the valve air intake is opening and closing without a break. Checked the grounds, the ecm was already changed and nothing changed. I think it could be wiring issue but dont know where to start checking. Any suggestions? Thanks

I am, of course talking about parts of the car itself, not the license plates and personal effects. The car is a 2002 Daewoo Lanos. It is being junked because the engine failed (the cylinder head cracked), and I decided to buy a different vehicle instead of replacing the engine. First, I should say that my Fusion has an EPAS (Electronic Power Assist Steering) which means that there is no hydraulic pump but rather an electric motor which provides the assistance to the steering system. In January I had the “Service Power Steering Now” indication on the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) as well and an AdvanTrac (Ford’s traction control system) light.
