2005 Camry. Not driven much, around the block twice once a week. The car will not start. When I attempt to start it, I hear a bunch of clicks. Last couple of starts, cranking seemed sluggish. I measured the voltage at the battery terminal and got 11.79 volts, with the car at rest, and not attempting to start it. The battery is from January 2019. It is an AutoCraft Gold, Part Number 24F-6. 2019 Honda Odyssey, about 65k miles. I accidentally tried starting my van without my foot pressing down on the break pedal (something I don’t do typically) and was greeted with a low voltage battery warning, turn off headlights… Warning. Pressed foot on the break and van started up just fine. This seems to can be replicated every time. Is this normal when you try to do this?

CAR BATTERY CONSISTENTLY DIES EVEN WHEN VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN IN OPERATION FOR ONE FULL DAY. I HAVE A DASH CAM THAT IS IN OPERATION ALL THE TIME AND DISCONNECTED IT THINKING IT WAS THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. TODAY IS THE 10TH TIME THE CAR BATTERY HAS DIED IN 3 MONTHS.THIS TIME I HAD THE KEY IN THE SLOT TURNED ONE NOTCH (CAR ENGINE NOT TURNED ON) AND WAS PLAYING MUSIC VIA BLUETOOTH, WHEN SCREEN FLICKERED AND EVERYTHING WENT OUT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH BATTERY AND REFUSES TO CHANGE IT.

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It ran and drove great until a couple months ago then the signal wire on the starter shorted out, when the signal wire shorted out it burnt up the starter and since then it’s just been sitting.I have a new starter on it and I’ve wired everything directly up to the battery , so it doesn’t turn over with the key, the problem is that the new starter turned the motor over one time and now all it does is spin and won’t engage. My 07 Impala stopped blowing air so I got a new blower motor. I take the old one out, connect the plug to the new one and nothing. I took a multi meter and connected it’s leads to the plug that goes to the blower motor to see if it’s getting power. As I turned the fan up and down, the meter also went up and down. I’m assuming it’s getting power. Since the meter went up and down along with the fan speed dial, I’m assuming the resistor is working. My wife was set on getting a Telluride, and thanks to my daughter wrecking her car earlier this year, my wife got a 2022 Telluride and gave my daughter her car. The Telluride has been having a quirk in that upon starting the car, it will have a message on the display of a headlight out. If you’ve been here long enough, you know I like to take things apart to see why they failed. Sometimes, I fix them and have a spare. Other times they are shot but nice to learn how they work and what went wrong. I think the last one I posted here was regarding the steering angle sensor for my Trailblazer that had repeated failures. I recently bought a used Ford F150. In dealer 2 different dealers for 2 computer failures 2x. So called repaired. Car hits the brakes by itself there is no way to turn off the radar on the front of the car. You have to remember to turn it off everytime you drive it. Then the gas pedal and brakes failed. The tow truck guy said just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to re-set the Ecu. Well he did and I had to retrain the car how to shift over several days. Good thing the failure occured at 30mph. I am selling this. Left rear cross traffic sensor fell into rear bumper (adhesive failure?). This is the second incident. Toyota service manager claims it was knocked into bumper by external force although that is not what happened. The sensor failed when groceries were loaded into trunk during Covid. This is the exact sensor that was repaired by the service department previously claiming it was due to adhesive failure. There is no way to disable the sensor failure alarm on the dashboard display so there is a constant rear sensor failure alarm blinking constantly on the dashboard which is annoying.

Blowing warm air. Compressor clutch engages when air turned on. I replaced the clutch coil last summer. Low side reading ~39 High side ~45. Low side does react (very little) when RPM is increased, high side does not. Most of my findings lead me to believe that the compressor is bad but I also know that low freon will make my high side low. Car (98 grand-prix se 3.1) only has 49k miles on it and I feel the compressor should still be good (that’s partly my wallet talking as well). The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that after shifting into park, the air condition system was activated, and the engine revved with the RPM elevated. The contact turned off the A/C and then turned off the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted, and the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated at rapid speed then decelerated without warning. Very hot outside. Started car with a/c already on full blast (factor?). Car started shaking, put it in reverse to backup and steering wheel VERY hard to turn and brakes VERY hard to apply. Turned a/c and car off, waited 5 minutes, started it again and drove home with no a/c and no further issues. This has happened before. What is wrong? Help!! And Thank You!!

I've taken my car to 3 different A/C shops and they were all unable to diagnose the problem. It's a BMW 1-series F20 LCI B47. Compressor is a magnetic clutch type Denso 6SAS14A. Symptoms: The AC compressor goes into "reduced mode" at higher-than-idle RPM. Once the RPM is dropped back to idle the AC restarts. If the RPM is returned from the "High Zone" to "Working Zone" the AC still doesn't restart, only when it returns to "Idle Zone". There have been times in the summer when my car is in my driveway all day in 100-degree weather, and combined with the sun, it must be 140+ degrees in my car. Can it damage or shorten the life of my car’s air conditioning to immediately crank the A/C to full blast and Max A/C on the coldest temperature right when I turn the car on in order for it to cool off as fast as possible? I’m wondering if it can work it too hard or if any components can wear out fast from forcing suddenly changes in temperature.

The longer I have this car, the more issues arise yearly. When this car was first bought as new I noticed that the car battery would die whenever I didn't drive for a single day. As the years pass the situation just gets worse. Today I was about to drive to work and found to my dismay that the car refuses to start. All of the warning notifications keep going off. I have been to the dealership 3 times paid for a battery replacement and battery terminal replacement. I was quoted a ridiculous rate for a engine wiring harness replacement, I had to get that replaced by a certified technician but the car is still doing the same thing.
