The physical dimensions and spec of an 850 and 960 always seem the same to me!the 960 was based on the old rwd 700 platform from the early 80s (and possibly links to the older 200 platform?) with a big of updating, the 850 was a bit smaller outside, based on a new fwd platform, and more modern in pretty much every way. They co-existed for a few years with the 960 (later v90) being a bit posher, but generally the 850 was a better all round car.

Been and collected it this lunchtime after another test drive and I read the codes whilst out & about and thankfully zero issues Will collect the 18" alloys & winter tyres ASAP and then sell the 403Ms off; they've just been refurbed but a) I don't like them that much, b) not a fan of black wheels at all and c) the RFTs are crap Parts already been ordered (OEM velour mats and M Sport grilles via Cotswolds BMW) and a full oil & filter change kit etcThe parts list will continue to grow haha
