I would not be surprised if it his £40m if the right set of billionaires are bidding. Musk owns an F1 Zuckerberg a Koniggsegge and Gates an XJ220 so its not like their wont be people with deep pockets who like very rare cars. The Mercedes I've csr reached 100m I can't see this doing that but 30m maybe or 40m I mean if you are worth 10bn plus why not

So if you're planning on buying something iconic 90s as an investment and keeping it for 10 years, will the price for these cars start to soften as my generation can no longer squeeze into them?That's a very good point I have always thought were I super wealthy its cars from about the 1980s onwards but really the 90s i would want. A Jaguar D type does zero for me and while a DB5 is nice I prefer the Vantage V550. Sure a 250 GTO being 1 or 39 I think is always going to have some appeal but in the end the F1 likely appeals more to people in their 40s who saw it on TV an now have billions to spend. I do wonder if we will ever see classic car like love for a Tesla or a i4 like we do for old ford RS's and BMW M3's
