My point is that no way would I consider a car using this technology when other, far better technology is available for not much more money. I agree (2x Leaf owner, + Tesla/Porsche/Skoda BEVs), it would put me off the car a bit as a used purchase, and by extension a long term purchase. No issue for a 2-3 year lease.There are unfortunately many scenarios which could put more heat than you'd want into the battery pack. Without reasonable thermal management, cell degradation is going to happen. And on such a small pack, it would both be quicker to experience excessive thermal input, as well as be more affected by loss of capacity.Mind you, I'd be interested to see how robust this LFP pack is and what (if any) clever air cooling or thermal management strategies they're deploying - I do fully expect it to be better than the Leaf/Zoe cells.
