I live very close to their workshop and have considered packing my job in and trying to get a job there for a while now. What a fantastic little car company!

Although now I'm thinking about it I can't see how that would work with the shared spring unit. All the 2CV-based three-wheeled Pembletons I've seen under just do away with the interconnection. In fact I think the four-wheel Pembleton 2CV chassis does as well. The standard setup is two springs per side (for front and rear) inside a cylindrical can, mounted on rubber buffers. One spring compresses on a bump, pulling the can towards it against the buffer at that end, which pushes the other spring to extend, countering the pitch tendency. The can is the only part connecting the two ends and if you remove that (or chop out tbe middle) you just have inboard suspension. Obviously with a three-wheeler you only have the rear spring on one side. Lomaxs keep the suspension standard even on the three-wheelers. As you say, one trailing arm gets turned around (with an extension on its 'wrist' end) to put a rear wheel in the centreline and remains interconnected to the front wheel on the side it mounts to (usually the left). The right trailing arm gets chopped off at the 'shoulder' but the interconnection remains, just not meaningfully interconnecting with anything. I have seen Lomaxs with two swapped rear arms so they end up as narrow-track four-wheelers (like an old Isetta).
