증상

타이어 교체 후 제동 시 진동 발생. 저속(30mph 이하)에서는 맥동감, 30~50mph에서는 뚜렷한 떨림, 50mph 이상에서는 심한 흔들림. 주차 브레이크가 한 단계 내려가 있었음. 제동 중에만 진동 발생.

처리 내용

새 타이어 설치 후 진동은 보통 휠 밸런스 불량이나 얼라인먼트 문제로 인해 발생함. 이 경우 휠 웨이트가 브레이크 드럼 외부와 접촉하여 휠이 허브에 제대로 안착하지 못한 것이 원인으로 보임. 제동 중에만 진동이 발생한 이유는 휠이 움직이거나 진동할 때 웨이트가 브레이크와 간섭하기 때문. 해결 방법: 낮은 프로파일의 휠 웨이트로 교체하거나 5~10mm 알루미늄 휠 스페이서를 설치하여 휠을 브레이크에서 멀리 떨어뜨림.
