The Catholic church continues to force large swathes of the world into abject poverty as the result of their stance on birth control. These are all examples where people confuse the relative merits of science and faith. What next? Are we going to start a social media campaign to `Bring back Polio'? Ignorance is bliss right up until the point you contract some fearful disease... If you don't think it could happen in the UK, look at the voters of Clacton.My point being that an appreciation of Monet's Haystacks and the joy that ICE brings you are very much secondary to the answers provided by science and engineering.
