Hi all! Bought this 540i back in March of this year and have loved getting to know it! I ve done a few easy things, removed M5 replica mirrors for the standard ones and taken off the wind deflectors as not to my personal taste. Done a Major service with gearbox fluid and fuel filter replaced, new chain tensioner and a couple of airflow sensors needed. It s currently in hibernation getting new sills, wings and a full respray and a full coolant system renewal. I ll add some progress photosEdited by rorynash96 on Sunday 7th December 20:02

ATM said: All Jap Imports do because of the climate thereIts not all good news - some have heat and / or sun damage Think about rubber parts like window seals and coolant pipes and electrical wiring insulation etcI've owned a bunch of Japanese imports. Not a single one of those additional things you mentioned has ever been the slightest issue. The lack of rust, and general better upkeep of the Japanese cars will always massively, massively outweight any potential drawback due to being left in the sun a bit.
