증상
2007년식 차량으로 39,000마일만 주행. 여름에만 주로 사용되고 연중 산발적으로 운행, 최대 4개월간 방치. 차를 덮개에서 꺼낼 때 심한 곰팡이/곰팡이내 발생. 트렁크 뚜껑과 후드 아래 작은 틈 부분에 소나무 바늘, 흙, 잔해가 많음. 습한 산림 지역(메릴랜드 이스턴쇼어) 환경.
처리 내용
곰팡이는 습기와 어둠에서 번식하므로 차량을 햇빛이 잘 드는 드라이브웨이에 꺼내고 창문을 완전히 내린다. 햇빛이 노출된 곰팡이를 죽인다. 곰팡이 제거제(moldzyme 등) 구입 - 분무기로 분사하는 것이 최적. 캐빈 에어필터를 제거한다. 히터를 최대로 작동시키면서 곰팡이 제거제를 분무하여 HVAC 시스템이 제품 미스트를 흡입하도록 한다. 모든 내부 표면을 곰팡이 제거제로 닦아낸다. 고속도로에서 고속 주행(시속 160km 정도)하여 내부 습기와 이물질을 완전히 제거한다. 향후 장기 보관 시에는 정기적으로 환기하고 습도 조절에 주의한다.
