I would be surprised if X5 didn t have laser lights and I think B&W also available as an optionI had an iX50 for just over three years and just replaced with an iX3 (more efficient than the iX by a country mile) which is currently filling up on solar generated electricity after a 500-mile weekend which needed all of 15 minutes public charging (adding 48kWh). No way would I consider an X5 and the last time I had a diesel was 2019. Last petrol was 2015 (ignoring the children s cars). Ice into last century I don t care if ice-heads refuse to consider an EV though some of the reasons given for that on here are very amusing. Oh and the comparison of the running costs of a small engined petrol or diesel car with those of a 500bhp EV are also very amusing. EVs. They re the future - but here now!In Unreal's defence, he has taken the time to describe in detail his personal circumstances and preferences, and in a mostly polite manner. For me that's where it should probably end and I don't think the pro-EV posters who are essentially saying, 'we are the enlightened ones, you can only properly decide until you've done what we've done' is helping anyone's case. I'm pretty sure he knows what he is missing out on and has chosen to stick with ICE. Somebody somewhere needs to use the X5 until it's no longer economically viable to do so, it might as well be him.And that's fine in my book.I get that he probably doesn't need to be on this thread in the first place, but lets be honest, regardless of your preference for powertrain, if you have an interest in cars, you are likely to be one or more of intrigued/concerned/excited about how the EV transition plays out and this is the active GG EV thread of the hour until the next one comes along.
