증상
핸드브레이크 수리 후 날카로운 경사로에서 테스트 중 엔진이 고단에서 스톨됨. 스톨 후 페달 브레이크가 작동하지 않아 차량이 자유롭게 굴러감. 핸드브레이크는 약간의 저항을 제공했지만 차량은 계속 후진. 평탄한 도로에서 엔진을 끈 후 약 1분 후 페달 브레이크가 다시 작동함.
처리 내용
세 가지 확인 사항: 1) 자갈 위에서 차량이 정말 굴러갔는지 아니면 미끄러졌는지 확인. 2) 엔진이 스톨된 상태에서는 제동력 보조 장치가 작동하지 않아 브레이크 느낌이 다를 수 있음. 엔진 재시동 후 정상으로 돌아옴. 3) 핸드브레이크가 경사로에서 제동력을 발휘했다는 것은 페달 브레이크가 제대로 작동하지 않았음을 시사. 나중에 다시 작동된 것으로 보아 일시적 고장으로 보임. 가장 가능성 높은 원인은 브레이크액 부족으로 경사로에서 브레이크액이 마스터 실린더 플런저에서 이동하여 발생한 현상. 차량이 평탄한 도로로 이동했을 때 액체가 다시 정착되면서 정상 복구됨. 대부분의 차량은 브레이크액이 먼저 후륜에 공급되는 압력 밸브를 장착하고 있음. 후륜 브레이크 미작동은 저액위 또는 하중 처리 불가능 때문일 수 있음. 브레이크액 량을 확인하고 마스터 실린더와 브레이크 라인 전체에 누유가 없는지 점검 필요.

Lovely ready and I love your choice!! The E60 was one of the best M5s I ever had - On road and track Use it, and enjoy every moment of the magnificent engine!! I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.
