Is that your engine bay, or pics from Ramair? If it’s yours, that’s quite something on an 82k mile, 11 year old car.

TameRacingDriver said: Agree on the exhaust. Mine JCW had the Pro exhaust (I'm assuming you mean that rather than the standard JCW exhaust), and it sounded excellent, very asbo in sport though Speaking of sport mode I wasn't a fan, despite the silly exhaust noises; it made the steering artificially heavy and numb, lost any texture it had, and the throttle was artificially sensitive. That said I'm sure many people like it. Remap - they do remap well but be careful, they like to snap pistons and I personally don't think the chassis can handle much more than about 250 bhp before it's just wheelspin city I left my JCW at standard power which felt about right to me - certainly wasn't slow!Yeah i fell in lucky with a brand new JCW exhaust, displaced when someone ordered a Pro exhaust for their incoming JCW. i think i only paid £300 for it. It gave just the right amount of woofle without being hooligan!I think i'd my Cooper S at about 240BHP. I remember taking on a standard JCW and keeping up with it with no great issue. Brakes were the big problem on a mapped Cooper S. They are just about adequate on a standard car. Cheek clenching on a mapped one. If i'd a JCW now i think the standard power is plenty. They're a fun car to drive. its not about out right speed with them IMHO.

Electric is ticking along nicely, and that won't change, but it's also nice to look back though I think. Absolutely. but that should maybe be separate thread. Or two actually.Celebration of current ICE cars perhaps? And One for the fantasists to

tallpaul26 said: Thank you for this public service announcement. I've filed it firmly under 'jobs never to attempt myself!'Actually wasn't that bad.One of those jobs that took ages because I was trying to do it without taking something else off, i.e. the brake servo.Once I'd decided to remove the servo, it took 20 minutes, whereas I'd spent an hour and 20minutes trying to do it without removing the servo, although admittedly, given the current status of the car, removing the servo was much easier than it would of been had I had to drain the brake fluid and if there had been an engine in the w

It’s amazing what it’ll pull out!
