Do people really sell discs they claim are good despite being used? Appreciate there are upgrades that may lead to that but seems.... Interesting.

Right, so been a bit quiet because discussions with the dealer have been ongoing and flapping your mouth on the internet is not really the right way to do it while your having that discussion. In a nutshell, I have a few good friends who own workshops etc so used the four post to get a really good look at whats what so i could present a complete picture of the car and the issues to the dealer, then get them to produce that as a factual documented report that i could use to have that conversation.In a nutshell.Radio no workydoor trim looseundertray has some bodgy repairsrear lights have water ingresswater pump is leakingnear side front suspension is knocky various leaks on a number of coolant hosesEmergency key snapped offTurbo heatshields looseBody plugs missingNow I got this car knowing it was coming up for a big service, at 40k basically everything needs doing, but its in generally nice condition, has masses of options and through life upgrades none of which were really taken into account in the asking, and the interior is unique and excellent, nut brown leather alcantara dash etc etc and crucially the car is not black. so i wanted to keep the car not return it, as such i could have been harder and less agreeable than i have been, so there will be some of you who think in am nuts accepting the settlement I have, however I think it will be fine, time will tell who is correct.. long story short the dealer have coughed up a bit over 3k for the water pump and real lights, the other issues i will put down to wear and tear, ultimately is is a 250k car for 20% of the original cost, while its fashionable for people to expect the car to be perfect i don't actually believe its reasonable. So now that i have reached an agreement, and got the money out of them I can stop fking about. I didn't want to touch the car until this had been resolved. So, i have a decent 6.5x6,5 double garage, have lof this is taken up with a workshop, the other half is still taken up with the e36
