증상
엔진에서 딱딱거리는 음향이 발생했고, 오일량을 확인했을 때 오일 스틱에 거의 표시되지 않음. 규정 오일 3쿼트를 추가한 후 반 마일 정도 주행했을 때 엔진이 팔딱거리고 배기구에서 많은 양의 연기가 발생.
처리 내용
딱딱거리는 음향은 문제의 경고 신호일 수 있으며, 오일 부족과 직접적인 연관이 있을 수도 있고 없을 수도 있음. 3쿼트를 추가했으면 완전히 빈 상태는 아니었을 것으로 보임 (참고: 오일은 주유할 때마다 정기적으로 점검하고 규정 범위 내로 유지해야 함). 하얀 연기는 오일이 아님. 배기구에서 나오는 하얀 연기는 냉각수가 연소실로 들어가고 있다는 신호 (정상이 아님). 헤드 개스킷 손상, 헤드 크랙, 블록 크랙 등이 원인이 될 수 있음. 차를 정비소로 견인해야 함. 정비소에서 엔진이 수리 가능한지 판단할 수 있음. 더 이상 운행하지 말 것! 계속 운행하면 추가 손상이 발생할 수 있음.
