So having now obviously built the car up to this stage there are things that become apparent and improvements and changes can be made. I'll let this one out the bag, but as I was soo tight for time to get the car together for Goodwood I didn't have time to machine the hinge for the drivers door. To get around this I relied on a 3d printed one in plastic! It was pretty robust and I used a stiff ABS+CF filament but it was still plastic and while it was nice and tight straight after printing, by the time I got to the FOS a few weeks later is was a little wobbly to say the least. At the festival of speed there were people taking photos while leaning against the door... at which point if you caught a glimpse of me I was looking decidedly worried! You may have seen me getting in and out of the passenger doo at the Annual service too.So before I machined this one I should update the design. The design is the same but I could see that was had been generous with my clearances and these could be pinched allowing the hinge to get a little longer on its axis and a little thicker. All of which is a good thing.I have also binned the plan to use the VW hinge pins. These wored great for inheriting the tight tolerances needed but what I hadn't appreciated was these were eccentric pins that could be rotated to adjust the door. This meant I had the adjustment I designed in on the slip planes of the two mounting faces plus the adjustment on these pins. too much adjustment now!Simpler design now but I will need to be careful on my machining tolerances:Going to aim to get the body side of the hinge underway today...

폭스바겐 UP!(AA) 엔진오일 교환 작업 1단계: 유가가 또 오를 것 같아서 이번엔 페일캔으로 구매했습니다. 5회분 확보. 처음 사용하는 메이커지만 지금까지 문제없음. 그보다 거의 1년 가까이 방치했던 게 문제. 폐유는 갈색으로 거품이 많이 떠있었음. 상부 흡입으로 약 3리터 교환. 주행거리 11만km이므로 다음엔 더 일찍 교환할 계획.
