Want a foreign brand with motorsport heritageyou can see why they would try and hike up the price.Judging by the sales figures it doesn't seem to be working though.Sadly, old Lotus owners in the UK are very low down on the list of priorities.Nice thoughts but a bit wrong (but some right, so well done).Old Lotus never made or had any money. It has been desperate for a rich parent for which it finally has. Selling sports cars for small margins is not sustainable, even a Renault Megane can be over £40,000. I can speak as one, but the old Elise days are well gone the people who could afford them still can but they not where the money is for a business. Massive bill for a simple fix. It got me think back to my dads mk3 mondeo which was meant to be a bumper off job to swap a headlight bulb. I think the 2nd gen Renault Megane was the same. What else is there out there that requires a degree in engineering, a 4 poster lift and a snap on lorry full of tools to change a fuse or something equally as easy?
