엔진 아래에서 잭으로 올리는 방법 대신 위에서 지지하는 '엔진 서포트 바(Engine Support Bar)'를 사용하는 것이 좋습니다. 목재 블록만으로는 엔진을 올리고 내릴 수 없으며 작업 중 위치 조정이 불가능합니다. 엔진 서포트 바는 상용 제품을 구입하거나 폐목재, 나사식 로드, 체인으로 자체 제작할 수 있습니다. 이 방법은 서포트 바의 지지대가 후드 내부의 펜더 레일 위에 걸리므로 엔진 아래에서 잭질하는 것보다 훨씬 편리하고 정확한 위치 조정이 가능합니다.
