Where were we before Christmas and E39 M5's distracted me? Ah yes, all stripped down and ready for new bits to go on!It got quite expensive quite quickly in the end... Pirtek couldn't sort the pipes out for me because they're aluminium and can't be welded or crimped with their kit. They only tend to work with steel pipe. To save time and messing around with second hand parts I just bought new ones from Porsche. It wasn't cheap but I'd rather do it properly and only once than have to go back and fix it again in the near future. I sent the steering rack off for refurb and that got expensive too.

Well, I've gathered some repair panels. It's going off to a trusted body shop at the start of next year. I need to do some exploratory stripping down. We'll see how much time I have between now and the start of next year. Currently nothing's happened because a few things got in the way in the background, but I'm nearly ready to make a start on it.

포르쉐 911(997) 디스플레이 오디오 장착 후 백카메라 화면이 나오지 않음. 20회 중 1회 정도만 표시되며, 상하가 뒤집혀 있고 화질이 좋지 않음. 장거리 투어 전 파이오니어 DMH-SZ500 장착했으나 제대로 작동하지 않음.
포르쉐 911(996) | 라이트 스위치 교체 | 단계 1: 하이빔과 로우빔이 좌우 모두 점등되지 않음. 하이빔은 누르면 켜짐. 즉, 전구는 끊어지지 않았으며 전형적인 라이트 스위치 고장 증상으로 교체함. 결과 로우빔, 하이빔 복구됨. 좌측이 구 순정품, 우측이 신품 중국산 약 7000엔. | 단계 2: 구형은 단자가 타버려 있음.

My knees were always touching the steering wheel and the wheel always felt too low down. The seating position is easily sorted 997 (or 987 boxster) seats are a straight swap, they sit you lower ( give better support) and puts the steering wheel in a much better position.
