증상

브레이크 유압액이 저수조에 없을 때 실제로 어떤 일이 발생하는가? 브레이크를 밟아도 제동력이 거의 작동하지 않는다. 페달을 밟았을 때 스펀지 같은 느낌이 들고 반응이 둔하다. 여러 번 페달을 반복적으로 밟아야만 겨우 제동이 된다.

처리 내용

1950년대 이후 거의 모든 승용차의 브레이크는 유압식으로 작동한다. 브레이크 페달을 밟으면 유압액이 가압되어 휠까지 연결된 배관을 통해 흐른다. 이 유압이 패드를 로터나 드럼에 눌러붙인다. 유압액이 부족하거나 없으면 배관에 공기가 들어간다. 공기는 압축성이 매우 높아서 눌러지면 부피가 줄어든다. 반면 브레이크 유압액은 거의 압축되지 않는다. 정상적으로는 페달의 힘이 마스터 실린더를 통해 유압액을 배관으로 보내면서 거의 완벽하게 브레이크에 전달된다. 그러나 배관에 공기가 있으면 공기만 압축될 뿐 브레이크 작동에 필요한 힘이 거의 전달되지 않는다. 배관에 소량의 공기만 있어도 제동력이 크게 감소한다.

2019 Dodge Ram 5.7L HEMI, 100km 미만. 브레이크 작업 후 시운전 중 풀 스로틀로 0-70mph까지 한 번 가속 후 발생. 엔진 미스파이어 시작, 체크 엔진 라이트 깜박임. 리듬컬한 탭탭탭 소리 발생(collapsed lifter 유사음). 2/3 스로틀 이상에서만 발생, 정상 주행 시에는 미스만 있고 해머링음 없음.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.
