Smint said: It wasn't actually Putin pushing the boundaries which started this off it was NATO getting ever closer to Russia despite agreements going back decades that NATO would not move Eastwards. They poked the bear once too often and despite repeated growling from said bear they couldn't help themselves but keep pushing.Then we handily sent the village idiot over waffling promises and scuppering the peace deal that was on the table.As for anyone imagining a war with Russia would be over in a short time and one sided, well good luck with that, suggest investing in bodybag manufacturers if we're really stupid enough to provoke war with Russia, we're already stupid enough to throw borrowed money into the massive money laundering machine, plus providing assistance launching ordnance into Russia which makes us an aggressor for which let us pray Russia doesn't take retaliatory action.Quite frustrating isn't it that people forget the 2014 US led coup that installed Zelensky's pro US/EU gov, Ukraine shelling ethnic Russians in the Donbas region which Russia had to intervene in to keep Crimea. Leading to full scale conflict which allowed USA to price gouge Europe for LNG. Also Russia has to pull out of Syria for Ukraine so US/Israel finally got their victory there, Russia can't support Iran but US still can't crack them which has put us in the ridiculous situation where Iran can hold a huge amount of oil hostage and frankly why shouldn't they, which finishes with us moaning about high petrol prices, and likely high food prices when we have no fertiliser next year.All the same war for Israel crushing our standard of living. But no Putin is a madman with his finger on the nuclear button and our gov would never lie to us etc.
