But they don't care because the tip is less than 5 miles away.Were they to be towing a caravan though, then they'd lose about 50% of range, so 150 miles vs 300. 150 miles at 50-60mph is going to take a couple of hours of driving, so time for a break when it needs to be recharged anyway. Sure, it's worse numbers than a diesel vehicle, but on the flipside caravan towing is a leisure activity so just give yourself a bit more time. This will not cause the heat death of the Universe.Personally towing caravans should be banned regardless of ICE or EV, but that is another story. The pain I see with caravans is that Public chargers are badly designed, nothing worse than hitching up again! On your example your first leg is 150miles the your 10-80% is 80 miles? Easier to get a fix caravan and drive normally to the camp site.
