증상
포드 포커스 ZX4 LE 2.0 엔진. 고속도로나 일반도로 주행 중 브레이크가 경직되어 속도가 급격히 감소하는 현상 발생. 자주 발생하지 않으며 낮 시간 고온에서 주로 발생. 브레이크 페달에서 발을 떼도 브레이크가 풀리지 않는 것처럼 느껴짐. 속도가 40 이상으로 올라가면 증상이 심해지고 50 이상에서는 변속기에 부하가 걸림.
처리 내용
휠 허브 어셈블리 내부 휠 베어링과 서스펜션 컨트롤 암의 부싱 손상 확인. 부싱이 파손되면 부품이 충돌하여 소음 발생 가능. 브레이크에서 나는 연기는 오일일 수 있으니 아침에 캘리퍼에 오일 누유 여부 점검 필요. 비정상적인 감속과 로터에 오일이 묻어있다면 브레이크 라인 점검 및 교체 필요. 브레이크 라인이 팽창하면 압력으로 인해 브레이크가 고착될 수 있음. 브레이크가 식으면 팽창이 감소하여 정상 작동할 때까지 증상이 반복될 수 있으니 브레이크 라인 스웰링 여부 확인.

Lovely ready and I love your choice!! The E60 was one of the best M5s I ever had - On road and track Use it, and enjoy every moment of the magnificent engine!! I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.
