증상

혼다 CR-V에 새 타이어를 장착했는데, 휠 너트를 제조사 규격(80 ft/lb)에 맞춰 조였습니다. 설치 기사가 50마일 주행 후 휠 너트를 다시 조일 것을 권장했는데, 이미 정규 규격에 맞춰 조였으면 다시 조일 필요가 있을까요?

처리 내용

예, 다시 조이는 것이 권장됩니다. 초기 50마일 주행 후 휠이 림에 안착되면서 약간의 침하가 발생할 수 있으며, 이로 인해 너트가 풀릴 수 있습니다. 다시 조임으로써 휠 너트가 풀어지는 위험을 크게 줄일 수 있습니다. 토크렌치와 적절한 소켓이 있다면 직접 작업할 수 있습니다. 솔직히 말해서 타이어샵에서 시공한 토크를 완전히 신뢰하기 어렵습니다. 많은 작업자가 초급 레벨이며 토크렌치를 올바르게 사용하는 방법을 모르거나 사용하지 않기도 합니다. 직접 너트를 풀었다가 정확히 다시 조이는 것을 권장합니다. 대부분의 경우 너트를 과하게 조이는 경향이 있으므로, 재확인이 중요합니다.
