증상
1994 혼다 어코드가 새 배터리 장착 후에도 시동이 걸리지 않음. 배터리를 조금 흔들면 반쯤 시동이 걸리며, 계기판 배터리/오일 경고등이 표시되고 음향, 전동 윈도우 등은 작동하지만 시동을 걸려고 하면 모든 전원이 꺼짐. 클릭음 없음. 시동 이전에 과열 시 고무 냄새가 났었음. 최근 배터리와 스타터 교체 완료.
처리 내용
배터리 단자 연결 불량이 원인. 배터리 스트랩(케이블 클램프)이 충분히 조여지지 않았거나, 부식이나 산화물로 인해 전기 흐름이 차단됨. 배터리 양쪽 케이블을 분리한 후 작은 브러시와 물로 완전히 세척. 배터리 단자와 케이블 커넥터에서 이물질 제거. 케이블을 다시 연결하고 더 이상 흔들리지 않을 때까지 단단히 조임. 가능하면 석유계 그리스를 단자와 커넥터에 얇게 도포하여 향후 부식 방지. 이 방법이 작동하지 않으면 배터리 케이블(음/양 극) 자체에 문제가 있을 수 있음. 케이블을 따라 부풀어 오른 부분이 있는지 확인 - 이는 내부 부식을 의미하며 케이블 교체 필요.
