Such a shame to see what has become of the Volvo brand specifically. They used to make some great, functional, comfortable interiors. Hard to believe now, but they had a reputation for safety as the pioneered things like seatbelts and crumple zones while keeping things very ergonomic, allowing the driver to concentrate on the road ahead.Edited by ducnick on Wednesday 19th August 09:37

It's ultimately going to replace the XC60 in time I'm sure, so it's really just an electric replacement for a similar sized SUV that's already been on sale forever. Volvo have for years mainly made bigger cars for lugging people and dogs and stuff around.There's already plenty of small car options for those that need them - Renault 5 as you say, Corsa, Mokka, Puma, whatever takes your fancy, there's a ton of them. Absolutely hopeless for taking a few people, a dog and luggage on a trip however.Some people do actually need the space of a bigger car - and the 60 series Volvos (XC and EX) do a pretty good job of it without being too big for the roads or parking spaces.However, would I replace my XC60 for this? Not a chance - the lack of physical buttons for simple things like fan speed and temperature on my current car drive me to distraction, so I can't imagine what this buttonless thing is like to live with.
