Love the work Rocketeer do. Personally wouldnt go for the hard top.However there are a couple of mark 2's with very low mileage being offered in the classified for £9995 which would make great base for a 'nearly' new Rocketeer proposition

The extra wheel base is one of the reasons it drives so well. It's still a light and small car by any standard. ah I see, still not that heavy also read something about the hydraulic steering and so on, but also that the later example feel safer/planted? by higher speeds, but that also says something about the feel at lower speeds I guess.a bit like the open Z3 vs the closed Z3 coupe, you have fun at way lower speeds then the more rigid Coupe, also about feel.You can have modern cars that feel safe at 300 km/h but is very boring, and a car that feel safe till max say 200 km/h or so, but feels like a better drivers car, more usable fun at lower speeds, yes you not winning races with such, but thats not important when not in a race.
