증상
2000년형 2WD 포드 F150 4.6L 트럭. 라디에이터 교체 중 변속기 쿨러 라인을 손상시켜 고압 호스와 호스클램프 2개로 임시 연결함. 몇 개월 후 귀가 중 RPM은 올라가는데 속도가 올라가지 않음을 발견. 호스클램프가 풀려서 변속기 오일이 모두 새어남. 오일량 확인 방법을 모르고 과다 충전함. 그 후 트럭 최고속도가 시속 15km(약 15mph)로 제한됨.
처리 내용
변속기를 탈거하여 분해 검사해야만 내부 손상 상태를 파악할 수 있음. 수리 비용대비 효율성이 낮으므로 Jasper Industries 등에서 재제조 변속기(리빌트 트랜스미션)를 구입하여 교체하는 것을 권장함.
